Positive: Was probably the most authentic hotel of our stay: very charming during the day and getting a glimpse of the nature life at night (bats crossing the restaurant, ants in the bathroom, standard for a hotel in the nature). The breakfast was good and beds comfortable, room was clean. Room also featured a small fridge, a safe, ceiling fan, good aircon and a mosquito net for the bed is we wanted to use it. I made a mistake in our booking and the owner kindly agreed to let us shorten our stay to allow us to catch our flight
Negative: - Hotel is far from the main road so accessing a restaurant outside the hotel in the evening requires a car (with good tires), hence many guests eat at the hotel, where I found prices to be very expensive compared to usual restaurant prices in Sri Lanka. Though food was good - the pool wasn't usable during our stay (mosquitos nesting in the water and the water was still, you couldn't see the bottom of the pool)
